Sometimes not so nice people find a letterbox. They have written
pretty nasty stuff in logbooks. I hope you Aunt Millie doesn't
receive any improper postal cards, but I wouldn't take a chance if it
were my Aunty.

I think it's a great idea. Where are you located?

You might be interested in Postcrossing http://www.postcrossing.com/
It's a project that allows anyone to exchange postcards (paper ones, not electronic) from random places in the world.

In this box we placed some postage paid postcards for our Aunt Millie.
She will get a kick out of getting some mail. All you need to do is
stamp the postcard and drop it in a mailbox. You can write her a note
if you like or leave it in the letterbox to collect some more stamps
before it gets mailed."

Maybe we could all stamp t-shirts and send them to aunt Millie.

I think either placing them into letterboxes, or asking for volunteer
boxers to stamp and write her a note is a sweet idea. As Don had
pointed out, sometimes people other then letterboxers find a box and
they can be somewhate rude. So maybe volunteers would be the better
idea. Is your Aunt shut in or in a nursing home? The Cats Meow

Here's my idea, I bought some postage paid postcards and addressed them
to my Aunt Millie. I'm going to put them in one of my local boxes for
people to stamp and mail off. But I would like her to get some cards
from more exotic places! If you own or know of a box with some extra
space I will send you some of these cards to put in the box.

Here's the message I wrote to include in the box:

wearing a bright bathing suit and flashy watch who is usually too loud
and has waaay too much back hair?

Well Nathan is partially correct, but most of the female gorillas
would question the "worn out" description.
